751/752 Bardotka – 8bit MTB TT Plux16
Project Information
- Sound project optimized for MTB TT models with Plux16 connector.
- The sound project is designed for MX series 8-bit sound decoders.
- Recommended minimum decoder software version is 40.22.
- The decoder has a default address of 3.
- Reset can be performed by setting CV8 = 8.

Setting Maximum Speed
We recommend setting the maximum speed using CV57, not CV5. Setting the maximum speed using CV5 may cause changes in the sound range. Acceleration time CV3 and deceleration time CV4 settings are not affected by setting the maximum speed via CV57.
Shunting Mode
In shunting mode all four marker lights are turned on. If you do not need this behaviour, disable it by setting CV37 = 0; enable it again with CV37 = 3. Enabling the mode also turns off the red lights and headlight if they are on. If you do not want this functionality, disable it by setting CV430 = 0 and enable it again with CV430 = 3.
The mode reduces acceleration and braking times to ¼ of the CV3 and CV4 settings. If this behaviour is not desired, disable it by setting CV124 = 144. Full deactivation of acceleration and braking times is possible by setting CV124 = 147.
If the shunting mode functionality itself is not desired, disable it by setting CV124 = 128.
The standard shunting mode value in the project is CV124 = 146.
In shunting mode a short horn sounds at each start. This functionality is handled by a script.
Three conditions must be met for the short horn to sound:
- The function itself must be enabled via F3.
- The engine sound must be enabled via F8.
- The model must start from zero speed.
Setting CV837 = 8 disables this functionality; standard value is CV837 = 0.
F5 Coasting vs F6 Engine to Maximum RPM
If both functions are enabled, coasting takes precedence.
Cabin Lighting
When the driver’s cab lighting is enabled via F9, it automatically turns off as soon as the model starts moving and turns back on when the model stops. For technical reasons1) this behaviour is handled by a script. If you do not need this automation, disable it by setting CV837 = 8; the default value is CV837 = 0.
If you prefer cab lighting that does not switch off when the model moves, set CV43 = 96 and CV837 = 8. To disable this special mode, set CV43 = 0 and CV837 = 0.
1) The default firmware allows either gradual fade-in/out of the function output or turning it off while the model is moving, but not both behaviours at the same time.
Compressor
The project implements two versions of compressor activation, both handled by script:
- Random compressor activation, conditional on engine sound being enabled via F8. This is disabled when the compressor is turned on via F17.
- Compressor activation via F17. This requires F8 to be enabled and zero speed.
Setting CV837 = 1 disables compressor activation via F17.
Setting CV837 = 2 disables random compressor activation.
Setting CV837 = 3 disables both options; standard setting is CV837 = 0.
Curve Squeal
Curve squeal is handled by script and several conditions must be met for activation:
- The function itself must be enabled via F19, and engine sound must be enabled via F8.
- The sound will not play at very low speeds; the commanded speed must be above 14 (within range 0–126).
- The sound will not play at high speeds; the commanded speed must be below 100 (within range 0–126).
Setting CV837 = 4 disables curve squeal; standard value is CV837 = 0.
Custom Function Mapping
Custom function mapping is available via CV400 – CV428. The project itself does not use it.
Decoder Reset
If you make a mistake while configuring the decoder or get lost in the settings, we recommend performing a decoder reset. Program CV8 = 8 to reset the decoder back to the project defaults.

Sound Sample Numbers
"Script" means that the corresponding sound is used in the script, outside of normal use within CV. The sound number is listed here for possible standalone use of the sound when the script is disabled.
