775, 776 (ex T678.0, T679.0) "Pomaranč" – 8bit MTB H0 Plux22
Sound sample
Project Information
- The sound project is designed for 8-bit sound decoders MTB H0 Plux22.
- Recommended minimum software version for the decoder is 40.22.
- The decoder has a default address of 3.
- Reset can be performed by setting CV8 = 8.

Max. Speed Setting
We recommend setting max. speed via CV57, not via CV5. Setting max. speed via CV5 may cause changes in sound range. Acceleration time CV3 and deceleration time CV4 settings are not affected by max. speed setting via CV57.
Shunting Mode
In shunting mode, all 4 position lights are turned on. If this functionality is not required, it can be disabled by setting CV37 = 0. To re-enable it, set CV37 = 3. Enabling the mode also turns off red lights and the reflector if they are on. If this functionality is not required, it can be disabled by setting CV430 = 0. To re-enable it, set CV430 = 3.
The mode reduces acceleration and braking times to ¼ of the setting in CV3 and CV4. If this functionality is not required, it can be disabled by setting CV124 = 16. Complete deactivation of acceleration and braking times is possible by setting CV124 = 19.
If shunting mode functionality is not required, it can be disabled by setting CV124 = 0.
Standard shunting mode setting in the project is CV124 = 18.
In shunting mode, a short horn is triggered at each start. This functionality is implemented by script.
For the short horn to be triggered, three conditions must be met:
- The function itself must be enabled via F3.
- Engine sound must be enabled via F8.
- The model must be starting from zero speed.
Setting CV837 = 8 disables this functionality, standard setting CV837 = 0.
F5 Coasting vs F6 Engine Acceleration to Max RPM
If both functions are enabled, coasting takes precedence.
Cab Lighting
If the driver's cab lighting is turned on via F9, it automatically turns off when the model is moving and turns on again when the model stops/starts. For technological reasons1), this is implemented by script. If this functionality is not required, it can be disabled by setting CV837 = 8. Standard setting is CV837 = 0.
1) Standard settings allow either slow lighting up and dimming of a function output or turning off the function output during movement, not both functions simultaneously.
Compressor
Two versions of compressor triggering are implemented in the project, both by script:
Random compressor triggering, which is conditioned by enabling engine sound via F8. This is disabled by enabling compressor via F17.
Enabling compressor via F17. It is conditioned by enabled F8 and zero speed.
Setting CV837 = 1 disables compressor triggering via F17.
Setting CV837 = 2 disables random compressor triggering.
Setting CV837 = 3 disables both options, standard setting CV837 = 0.
Wheel Squealing in Curves
Wheel squealing in curves is implemented by script. For triggering, several conditions must be met:
- The function itself must be enabled via F19, engine sound must be enabled via F8.
- The sound will not trigger at very slow speed, set speed must be more than 14 (from speed range 0 – 126).
- The sound will not trigger at high speed, set speed must be less than 100 (from speed range 0 – 126).
Setting CV837 = 4 disables wheel squealing in curves, standard setting CV837 = 0.
User Function Layout Setting
User function layout setting is possible via CV400 – CV428. The project does not use this for its own purposes.
Decoder Reset
It may happen that while setting up the decoder you make a mistake that you cannot fix or get lost in the settings. In this case, we recommend performing a decoder reset. To reset the decoder, program CV8 = 8. This programming will perform a reset to the sound project settings.

Sound Sample Numbers
"Script" means that the corresponding sound is used in the script, outside of normal use within CV. The sound number is listed here for possible standalone use of the sound when the script is disabled.
