751/752 Bardotka – MTB TT Plux16

Project version 1.4.2
751/752 Bardotka – MTB TT Plux16
16bit

Project Information

  • The sound project is optimized for the MTB model with Plux16 connector.
  • The sound project is intended for MS series 16-bit sound decoders.
  • The recommended minimum decoder software version is 5.5.
  • The decoder has the default address 3.
  • You can perform a reset by setting CV8 = 8.

Setting Maximum Speed

We recommend setting the maximum speed via CV57, not CV5. Setting the maximum speed via CV5 can change the sound range. Acceleration time CV3 and deceleration time CV4 settings are not affected when setting the maximum speed via CV57.

Shunting Mode

In shunting mode all four position lights turn on. If this functionality is not required, you can disable it by setting CV37 = 0. To enable it again, set CV37 = 3. Enabling the mode also switches off the red lights and the headlight if they are on. If this functionality is not desired, you can disable it by setting CV430 = 0. To enable it again, set CV430 = 3.

The mode reduces acceleration and braking times to one quarter of the CV3 and CV4 settings. If this functionality is not desired, you can disable it by setting CV124 = 144. Complete deactivation of acceleration and braking times is possible by setting CV124 = 147.

If the shunting mode functionality is not desired at all, you can disable it by setting CV124 = 128.

The standard shunting mode setting in the project is CV124 = 146.

In shunting mode, a short horn sounds at every start. This functionality is handled by a script.

Three conditions must be met to trigger the short horn:

  1. The function itself must be enabled via F3.
  2. The engine sound must be enabled via F8.
  3. The model must start from zero speed.

Setting CV837 = 8 disables this functionality, the standard setting is CV837 = 0.

F5 Coasting vs F6 Engine to Maximum RPM

If both functions are enabled, coasting takes precedence.

Cab Lighting

When the driver's cab lighting is switched on via F9, it automatically switches off while the model is moving and turns on again when the model stops. For technological reasons1), this is handled by a script. If this functionality is not desired, you can disable it by setting CV837 = 8. Set CV837 = 0 to enable it again.

If you want cab lighting functionality without automatic switching off while the model is moving, set CV43 = 32 and CV837 = 8. To disable this mode, set CV43 = 0 and CV837 = 0.

1) The standard setting allows slow fade in/out of the function output or turning off the function output while moving, but not both at the same time.

Compressor

The project implements two compressor activation options, both handled by a script:

  1. Random compressor activation that requires the engine sound to be enabled via F8. This is disabled by turning on the compressor via F17.
  2. Turning on the compressor via F17. It requires F8 to be on and zero speed.

Setting CV837 = 1 disables the option to activate the compressor via F17.

Setting CV837 = 2 disables random compressor activation.

Setting CV837 = 3 disables both options, the standard setting is CV837 = 0.

Curve Squeal

Curve squeal is handled by a script and several conditions must be met for activation:

  1. The function itself must be enabled via F19 and the engine sound must be enabled via F8.
  2. The sound does not activate at very slow speed; the set speed must be greater than 14 (within the 0 – 126 range).
  3. The sound does not activate at high speed; the set speed must be less than 100 (within the 0 – 126 range).

Setting CV837 = 4 disables curve squeal, the standard setting is CV837 = 0.

Custom Function Mapping

Custom function mapping is available via CV400 – CV428. The project itself does not use this.

Decoder Reset

It may happen that you make a mistake while configuring the decoder and cannot fix it or you lose track of the settings. In this case we recommend performing a decoder reset. To reset the decoder, program CV8 = 8. This programming resets the decoder to the sound project defaults.
