820 Singrovka – 16bit MTB H0 Plux22

Project version 14.2.1

Sound sample

Project Information

  • Optimised for the MTB H0 model with a Plux22 connector.
  • Designed for 16-bit ZIMO MS sound decoders.
  • Recommended minimum decoder software version is 5.5.
  • The factory default address is 3.
  • Program CV8 = 8 to reset the decoder to the project defaults.

Setting Maximum Speed

Use CV57 to set the maximum speed. Changing CV5 alters the sound range, while CV57 leaves the CV3/CV4 acceleration and braking times untouched.

Shunting Mode

All four marker lights turn on in shunting mode. Disable the feature with CV37 = 0 and re-enable it with CV37 = 3. The mode also turns off the red lights and headlight; if you do not want this behaviour, set CV430 = 0 and back to CV430 = 3 when required.

The mode halves the speed range and reduces acceleration/braking times to a quarter of the CV3/CV4 values. Disable it via CV124 = 16; complete deactivation of the timings is possible with CV124 = 19.

If you do not want to use shunting mode at all, set CV124 = 0. The default value is CV124 = 18.

A short horn sounds at every start in shunting mode. This script-controlled feature requires F3 enabled, engine sound on via F8, and starting from zero speed. CV837 = 8 disables it (default CV837 = 0).

F5 Coasting vs F6 Engine to Maximum RPM

If both functions are active, coasting takes precedence.

Cabin Lighting

The driver’s cab light (F9) automatically switches off when the model starts moving and turns back on when it stops. This behaviour is scripted for technological reasons1). Disable it with CV837 = 8 (default CV837 = 0).

For manual control without automatic switching, set CV43 = 96 together with CV837 = 8. Revert to the default by programming CV43 = 0 and CV837 = 0.

1) The decoder can either fade a function output or switch it off while moving, but not both simultaneously without scripting.

Compressor

The compressor is script-controlled in two ways:

  1. Random activation while the engine sound (F8) is on; enabling F17 cancels the random cycle.
  2. Direct activation via F17 that requires F8 on and zero speed.

CV837 = 1 disables F17, CV837 = 2 disables the random mode, and CV837 = 3 disables both.

Curve Squeal

Curve squeal is script-driven and requires F19 and F8 enabled, plus a speed above 14 and below 100 (range 0–126). Set CV837 = 4 to disable the effect.

Custom Function Mapping

You can customise the function layout via CV400 – CV428. The project itself does not use these CVs.

Decoder Reset

If you make a mistake while configuring the decoder or get lost in the settings, program CV8 = 8 (or CV8 = 0) to restore the project defaults.
