850 (ex M286.0) "Krokodíl"

The class 850 railcar was produced by Vagonka Tatra Studénka in the 1960s. They handled both express and local passenger services on non-electrified lines, replacing the older M262.0 series.

The units used hydrodynamic gearboxes and reached a top speed of 110 km/h.

During the late 1960s matching Balm trailers with the same appearance were produced to accompany the motor cars.
