770/771 (ex T669.0/T669.1) Čmeliak

The heavy shunting and freight locomotives of classes 770 (ex T669.0) and 771 (ex T669.1) were built by ČKD between 1963 and 1981. They are diesel-electric Co’Co’ locomotives with a maximum speed of 90 km/h, powered by the K 6 S 310 DR engine and six TE 006 traction motors. Broad-gauge derivatives 770.8 and 771.8 (ex T669.51/T669.50) for 1,520 mm were also produced. More than 8,000 locomotives left the factory and were supplied across the Eastern Bloc and the Middle East.
