820 (ex M240.0) "Singrovka"

The class 820 railcar was produced by Vagonka Tatra Studénka in the 1960s. Two prototypes were ordered in 1957—originally with different transmissions—but both finally used hydrodynamic gearboxes and reached 70 km/h.
711 Balm-k trailers and 30 BFalm trailers with a postal compartment were built to match the railcars in appearance.
The class partially replaced the older M131.1 units, bringing more comfort, but reliability issues meant withdrawals started once class M152.0 railcars arrived in 1982.
122 class 820 railcars were built.
